CURRAGH WIN THE ENNIS SHIELD!

The Curragh have won promotion to the Heidenfeld Trophy (Division 2) with their first ever victory in the Ennis Shield. It follows on from promotion from the O'Hanlon Cup two seasons ago. Curragh drew 3-3 with Rathmines in the last round, Round 11, while Malahide slipped past Rathmines to take second place. It adds a second trophy to the club who won the Killane Shield in 2005 - a knockout competition for teams in Divisons 3-6.

O'Hanlon Cup - Division 4 - 2005/06


At the completion of the season, Curragh finished in 8th Place out of 12 teams. The Curragh were promoted from a lower division prior to the commencement of the season to fill a gap after team withdrew.


Individual Scores as follows-   Brendan Duffy: 5.5/11;   Derek Stacey: 3.5/9;   Niall O'Shea: 1.5/9;   Hugues Hammouma 4.5/10;   Charlie Talbot: 6.5/10;   Leo Talbot: 3.5/6;   Tony Carr: 1/4;    Billy O'Connor:  1/2.


The team were pleased to hold their position in the League.
