Curragh v St. Benildus Richard Arundell (1749) 1-0 Mark McLoughlin (1549) 0.5/0.5 Noel Lynch (1396) 1-0 Peter Klompers (1322) 0-1 Dermot Earls (1200) 0.5/0.5 Brendan Duffy (u/g) 0-1 Total Score: 24.5/36 A bit disappointing for the Curragh who have now lost some ground on the leaders. Richard had a solid win while Mark could only manage a draw despite a strong position throughout the game. Noel was under pressure during the game and did well to win in the end while Peter's position fell apart in the endgame. Substitute Brendan went a pawn down early on and never recovered. Black to move (Richard) missed a win in two moves early in his game. Would a two year old child miss it!!!
