We
offer a range of workshops from time to time in this area. One
series is an introduction to acting, acting for fun, and acting
classes for intermediate actors. These are usually run as one
evening session per week for ten to fifteen weeks, often leading
to a small performance in Riverbank. See the Latest News section
for the next such training course.
The second type of workshop is usually offered in conjunction
with other professional theatre practitioners in Ireland. These
sessions encompass a range of activity, from exploration of theatre
of the oppressed techniques to in-depth study of devising, acting
methodology and striving for conviction in performance. A significant
element in these is the study of crutches, habits and other debilitating
patterns exhibited by actors in their quest for credibility on
stage. These workshops are usually two days long, or spread over
a series of evening sessions. See the Latest News section for
the next training course.
