Funding

There is a small fund to provide grants to groups to run community education projects. Information is also available about other sources of funding.


Outreach

We facilitate the setting up of Community Education groups where none exist and assist these groups access second chance education where possible. Projects include those targeting Asylum Seekers and Refugees, Older People, People with a Disability, Unemployed, Young Children, Travellers and Women.

Course Development

Assistance for Community Education Groups to develop their own programmes and courses.

Support Services

Access to a database of tutors, course information and in-service for tutors.

Networking

Networking with other groups and organisations that have a brief in the area of Community Education for example, Kildare Community Partnership, EQUAL, OAK, Aontas, Newbridge Asylum Seekers Support Group, Kildare Traveller Action.

Policy Work

This happens through Kildare VEC structures and by linking with other organisations on relevant issues.
