Athy Community Library will hold the annual reading club for children ‘Be a book detective' again this year.
The date of commencement is Tuesday October 19th, until December 7th, and is open to all library members aged 13 and under. Each person will be expected to read 8 books in total and complete a questionnaire on each book or a drawing for the under 6's. 7 – 13 year olds must read one non-fiction book, one book by an Irish Author and any other six books of their choice and answer a questionnaire on each book 6 year olds and under can read any eight books of their choice and draw a picture about each book. A certificate of Achievement and a goody bag will be presented to all successful participants on December 17th.
Registration for book club is from September 14th and October 12th. Membership of the library is free up to the age of 18.
