Pat in the company of Gerry Reynolds (Club Captain) |
Pat who lives in Tomard is a very consistent player and he tells me he was on Cloud 9 that day as he set the new mark. Pat is a very competitive and consistent player and in 2003 he won the Golfer of the Year title at the club. He plays on many of the teams in the club on the Inter Club scene and he hopes that these matches do not clash with his journeys to Croke Park etc to watch his beloved Lilywhites.
Sadly his record will only stand for a few weeks as the new course layout will be coming into play then which will mean his record will be obselete. No doubt Pat and others will be trying to establish a new mark at that stage.
The club has gone through a great period of transformation within the last 3 years in that our new clubhouse opened in June 2003, this plus the course developments are all geared towards our Centenary in 2006.
