The Hopkins International Literary Festival is an exciting and inspiring week-long celebration of the writing, interests and philosophy of Gerard Manley Hopkins and of his time in Ireland.
The aims of the Gerard Manley Hopkins Society are to promote, celebrate and foster the works of Gerard Manley Hopkins and his association with Monasterevin, Co.Kildare and Ireland together with his interests: music, painting and the arts.
The Society's major undertaking is its Annual International Literary Festival.
The Society's main aims are:
To explore and give a forum to the writings of Gerard Manley Hopkins.
To promote the cause of poetry, and artistic endeavour in relation to Gerard Manley Hopkins.
To promote, foster and encourage cultural and artistic activity in general and the cause of poetry in particular.
To develop the Gerard Manley Hopkins connection with Ireland, Co. Kildare and Monasterevin.
To give a forum to International, Irish and local artistic talent.
