Exhibitions, Classes and Workshops

The Athy Art Group was formed after the success of an art competition and exhibition organised by members of the youth group, Aontas Ogra, in 1970. 

Formation

It was formed to organise exhibitions, classes and workshops throughout the year and since 1979, the exhibitions have been held in different locations at different times. 

Exhibition 2015

The exhibition is currently held in the Athy GAA Hall on the Dublin Road.The Athy Art Group's 35th Annual Exhibition opened on Tuesday 25th June 2015 at 8pm and it ran until Sunday 5th July.

Members

They are an open group, the only stipulation is that new members must be from the Athy area.
