The new County Arts Centre in Newbridge formally opened its doors to the public on Tuesday 20th September 2001 with Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy performing the official opening.
Riverbank the official name, incorporates, Newbridge public library, the library headquarters and the County Arts Centre. The centre will provide a range of services including a genealogical and Heritage search facility and a comprehensive local history collection with a growing archive of information.
The new £3 million building was designed by Kildare County Council‘s Architectural Service.
