Tullamore
This is the county town with
a vibrant and sophisticated commercial centre. The Tullamore Dew Heritage
Centre is located in an old 1897 warehouse, formerly used to mature
Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey. A visit to the centre takes you through
an intriguing journey of the history of the town and it's world famous
whiskey. At the centre you can also collect some useful information
for your journey at the Tourist Information Centre.

Celtic canal cruisers is located just outside the town and offer a
choice of 2-9 berth cruisers. From Tullamore you can travel west onto
the River Shannon or East along the Grand Canal to the River Barrow
