Sallins
Sallins is a small village which grew up from it's
location along the Main Line. Once a buzy terminal for the passenger
boats, the village is still a popular stop off for boaters.
There are a number of pubs to choose from as well as shops to stock
up on provisions.
If you are on foot why not take a stroll along the tow paths and learn
about the history of the area through the Inland Waterways Association
of Ireland's walking guide. This will give you an insight into the
trading history of the canal as well as being an enjoyable walk for
all the family.
For this walk and other along the towpaths in the county check out
their site and download the details from kildare.iwai.ie
