24 runners for Tote Irish Cambridgeshire at Curragh

Hotly contested renewal at the Curragh on Sunday.

A field of 24 will go to post for the Tote Irish Cambridgeshire which promises to be a hotly contested renewal at the Curragh on Sunday.
 
Three British-trained runners will contest the prestigious €100,000 handicap with top weight Instant Attraction set to be just a second ever runner at the Curragh for trainer Jedd O’Keeffe and also making the trip across is Boomshackerlacker for George Baker and Galway Festival winner Dream Walker will bid to give Brian Ellison another memorable day on Irish soil. 
 
Trainer David Wachman won the race last season with Hint Of A Tint for owner Sue-Ann Foley and this year the Tipperary trainer is represented by Fit For The Job who is owned by Foley’s father, JP McManus, while local trainer Michael Halford is responsible for five of the runners in the race including Hasanour who was third in this race in 2014. 
 
The first of three Group 3 races on Sunday is the Flame Of Tara European Breeders Fund Stakes over a mile with seven fillies set to line up.
 
The John Oxx-trained Sea Of Grace will take on the Aidan O’Brien trained duo of Bound and Butterflies, while Dermot Weld has declared Galway maiden winner Eziyra.
 
Somehow, who was fourth in the Epsom Oaks behind Minding, heads a field of 10 for the Group 3 Snow Fairy Fillies Stakes. 
 
Charlie Appleby and Godolphin will be represented by Skiffle, while Epsom Icon is sent over by trainer Mick Channon and the Galway listed winner Planchart and Dermot Weld’s Adool make for a very intriguing race. 
 
The last of the Group 3’s is the Round Tower Stakes which has a history of producing some very good winners and Holy Cat is sure to attract a lot of attention for local trainer Michael O’Callaghan. The impressive Leopardstown winner made a big impression on that occasion and faces nine-rivals for his next start with Intelligence Cross and Sportsmanship the Ballydoyle representatives. 
Many of the participants in the 2016 Rose of Tralee will be among the panel who will judge the search for the “Rose of the Curragh” competition with the most stylish, elegant and appropriate dressed ladies who attend the races competing for spectacular prizes courtesy of Tipperary Crystal.  Ladies who incorporate the Rose motif into their outfits will have a definite advantage.
