Kildare Artist Notebook Project 2016 - Call for artists

All artists invited to participate

Artists at all stages of their development, are invited to participate in a Kildare Artist Notebook project, whereby artists fill a moleskine notebook, in a creative way and then donate it to Kildare County Council Arts Service.  All notebooks then become part of a national touring exhibition.  To date, notebooks have been donated from artists all over Ireland, France, New Zealand, South Korea and UK.

Given that 2016 is the centenary year of the Easter Rising, we would like artists to consider this when making their notebook.  Having said that, there is no prerequisite on how this may be considered, other than the confines of the notebook itself.

A5 Black Moleskine notebooks will be provided by Kildare County Council Arts Service at a charge of €5.00.  Register your intention to participate and order your notebook from the Arts Service then fill your notebook with writings, drawings, paintings, photographs, notes, collage. Applications are welcome from artists of all creative disciplines, at all levels student, amateur, emerging and professional.

Closing date for registration and ordering your notebook: Friday 20th May

Completed notebooks should be returned to the Arts Service by Friday 23rd September to allow for cataloging and installation of exhibition during Kildare Readers Festival 14th - 16th October
