Public Consultation: Water Management Issues

Public Consultation: Water Management Issues

Closing date - 18th December, 2015

The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government (pictured here) is currently holding a public consultation on the Significant Water Management Issues for Ireland that need to be addressed in the second round of River Basin Management Plans.

These plans, which will be in place by end-2017, will set out the environmental goals to be achieved by end-2021 together with the measures needed to ensure that they are delivered in practice.

The Minister wants to ensure that the most important issues are identified and addressed during the preparation of these plans and is seeking views on what are considered to be the significant water management issues for Ireland.

This information leaflet contains a summary of the main issues contained in the Consultation Document and the Document itself is available to download from the Department’s website at www.environ.ie

The final date for responses in respect of this consultation is 18 December 2015.
