GLOBAL WARFARE - Irish Drift Championships

GLOBAL WARFARE - Irish Drift Championships

Saturday and Sunday June 28th - 29th

Billed as the biggest event in the history of Irish Drifting, 'Global Warfare' will set a new standard for Irish Drift events as Round 3 of the IDC series takes to a completely new track at Mondello Park.

IDC put out the challenge to the world's top drifters to see if they could come to Ireland and do what no visitor had done before by beating the Irish stars on home soil. There were plenty of drivers interested and in the end a quality line-up has been assembled including Japanese Superstars, Daigo Saito and Robbie Nishida, fellow Formula Drift competitor Darren McNamara, Californian Matt Powers, Britons Danny Eyles, David Waterworth, Phil Morrison and Steve Evans, and Frenchman Jerome Vassia.

Global Warfare takes place over two days with the Semi-Pro and Rookie drivers competing on Saturday along with practice for the Pro's. Sunday's Pro action gets under way at 9:00 with the top 16 run off scheduled to start at 15:30.

With a new track being used, new spectating areas will be required and the best of these will be the Grandstand which has been set up in the Mondello Park paddock overlooking Irish Ferries corner, the first turn on the new ultra high speed course.

Tickets for the Grandstand are limited and can be purchased in advance, along with event tickets, from the Mondello Park web site.
