Carole Nash Classic Show to highlight Irish Motoring Heritage

Celebrating Irish manufactured and assembled vehicles at Mondello.

The annual Carole Nash 'Classic Car & Motorcycle Live' show at Mondello Park will this year celebrate Irish manufactured and assembled vehicles as it highlights Ireland’s little known Car manufacturing heritage.

Ireland's only Live Action Classic Vehicle show is backed once again by market leading specialist Insurance broker Carole Nash and takes place at Mondello Park in County Kildare on Sunday June 22nd. The show features static displays of Classic Car and Motorcycles and uniquely mixes this with a full day of Live action on track.

The highlight of the on-track activities will be a demonstration of one of the most significant cars from the circuit's Motorsport Museum. A 1967 Indianapolis 500 specification Lola T92, owned by circuit owner Martin Birrane, which was driven in the legendary race by Jackie Stewart, will be on show in the paddock and will also be demonstrated on track during the event.

Alongside the Indycar demo the programme will include three Classic Motorcycle Races and four races for various types of Classic Race Car. The HRCA Race Series will be on track for two Demonstration Races and they will be joined on the programme by a single Demo Race for the newest addition to Classic Racing in Ireland, the more modern 'Future Classics'. Pre 1955 racers will also be catered for with a single event which will begin with a LeMans style start.

The on-track interest will be added to by parade laps open to all of the Irish built cars on show, with separate sessions for road and race cars. Parades of Cars and Motorcycles by the Dunboyne Motor Club and higher speed track sessions for Classic Performance Cars will also be included in the schedule.

A new departure this year will be the inclusion of a feature display area at the Mondello Park podium where some of the more important and interesting cars on show will be presented and discussed with their owners. The paddock will also house the car club displays the trade are and Autojumble while the Motorsport museum will once again be open to the public free of charge.
