Tony Egan missing for past number of weeks
Gardai made an appeal on RTE's CrimeCall this week to find a former Athy politician.
The monthly show presented by Keelin Shanley on Monday evening featured a special missing person's alert on Tony Egan who vanished on September 19 last from his home in Portarlington. He had been living for the past two years in the town.
He studied Politics in Maynooth University and went on to become a Labour Town Councillor on Athy Town Council having been co-opted onto the body in 2008.
The Wexford native is described as being 5 ft 11? in height, weighing about 11 stone. He was wearing a black hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms and white runners.
Gardaà have appealed for help in tracing his whereabouts. Anyone with information is asked to contact the local station on 057 862 3112 or the confidential line at 1800 666 111.
