Award Winning Production SHACKLETON at Riverbank

Born close to the village of Kilkea, in south Kildare in 1874, Ernest Shackleton is renowned for his immense contribution to exploration and geographical discovery. This visually spectacular retelling of one of the greatest survival tales ever is told by the acclaimed Blue Raincoat ensemble.

Multiple award-winning Sligo based company Blue Raincoat bring their renowned production, SHACKLETON, to Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge for two performances - Saturday 26th (8.00pm) and Sunday 27th October (3.00pm). 

Using original footage and scaled puppetry, SHACKLETON tells the story of the sinking of the ship Endurance on the icy Weddell sea in 1916.
