Naas and Maynooth - IBAL Awards

Irish Business Against Litter Awards

The results of the 2018 IBAL Final Litter Survey have been announced.

Naas finished in 4th place in the "Cleaner Than European Norms" category.

Maynooth finished 25th and is "Clean to European Norms"

The overall winner was Fermoy.

Kildare Town won the national award in 2016 and Maynooth was 14th in 2016.
Kildare Town was 2nd and Leixlip was 9th in 2017

Litter is a very tangible, visible example of environmental damage. It is inportant that communities, businesses and local authorities in towns all across Ireland, and in County Kildare, work together to manage waste properly and reduce litter. 

An Taisce carry out the surveys on behalf of IBAL.

IBAL was established in 1996 by businessman Dr Tom Cavanagh.
