NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT BY A LOCAL AUTHORITY “Naas Town Hall – Universal Access & Forefront Enhancement Works”

 

Part XI Planning and Development Acts, 2000-2006

Part VIII Planning and Development Regulations, 2001-2007

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposal to carryout civil improvement works to the front of the Naas Town Hall, to include the following form of works:

 

·        Replace existing concrete paving slabs with selected paviours of a type and design sympathetic with the architecture of the Town Hall,

·        Provide for stainless steel bollards along the edge of the footpath so as to prevent against parking,

·        Provide for four seats,

·        Provide for four trees with tree guards,

·        Provide for a ramp to the side and front of the building so as to allow for access for all to the front door of the Town Hall,

·        Provide for the removal of the loading bay currently located on Town Hall lane so as to create a larger open plaza.

 

Plans and particulars will be available for inspection and purchase at a fee of €25, at the offices of Naas Town Council during its public opening hours from the 17th December 2009 to the 11th February 2010.  Plans are also available for viewing at Naas Library and on the Naas Town Council web site www.naastowncouncil.ie

 

Submissions and observations on the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development is situated, may be made in writing to the Town Clerk, Naas Town Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare on or before 5.00pm the 25th February 2010. Submissions should be headed;  Naas Town Hall – Universal Access & Forefront Enhancement Works ”.

 

All comments, including names and addresses of those making comments, submitted to the Town Council in regard to this development will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Naas Town Council. Accordingly they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
