Original design by G.E. Street for the restoration of the cathedral. Note the doorway in the west gable which was not included in the final reconstruction.
Base of a tower which formed part of the early Norman fortifications of the town. The tower base was discovered when excavations were carried out for the construction of the Credit Union. It is now preserved beneath the Credit Union.
A view of the ruined cathedral in 1777 by Seymour. Note the ruins of the Fire House and the cathedral in ruins except for the roofed east end which was in use as a pro-cathedral at the time.
