Rathcoffey Castle The remains of the large house with vaulted ground floor was built by The United Irishman Archibald Hamilton Rowan in the late eighteenth century. It incorporates parts of the twelfth century Wogan castle. The house and mediaeval gatehouse close by are national monuments.
