Book Clubs and Teen Programmes
Kildare Library and Arts Services are in the process of developing a programme of cultural and arts events for teenagers in libraries throughout Kildare.
This endeavour is being undertaken following extensive consultation with teenagers and their advocates throughout the county during 2008 and 2009. This consultation resulted in the production of a research document entitled Not Only Adults Drink Tea (2009) and can be found at Not Only Adults Drink Tea.
A number of initiatives have already come to fruition for teenagers and library and arts staff alike including the hugely successful Platform4 Recording Project @ Leixlip - click http://www.kildare.ie/ArtsService/YouthArts/Platform4-RecordingProjectLeixlipLibrary/.
