
Carlo Gébler was born in Dublin in 1954. His parents are the writers Edna O' Brien and Ernest Gébler. Carlo's debut novel The Eleventh Summer, was published in 1985. This was followed by many others, including August in July; Work and Play; How to Murder a Man and A Good Day for a Dog. His classic memoir, Father and I, explores what it is like to be a writer who is the son of writers. His new novel, The Dead Eight, is published in spring 2011.
