http://faslibraries.learnonline.ie

After a successful launch of  the ‘FÁS eLearning at the Library Project’in Athy Library , FÁS, in partnership with Kildare County Library Service, are delighted to introduce to the project to Newbridge, Celbridge, Maynooth and Leixlip libraries. This learning programme has been developed by FÁS for people with little or no IT skills as well as those with some basic IT skills. This initiative aims to attract those who would like to develop their PC/IT Skills in a supported workshop environment in areas such as Introduction to Computing, Internet Use and Email. Progression to complete online courses such as ECDL, Health & Safety, Finance Fundamentals, and Microsoft Word/Excel (as well as many others) is wholly encouraged and supported.

Come along to our Information Evenings

Information Evenings will take place in participating libraries and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Here you will have an opportunity to have a chat with the FÁS representatives who will answer any questions you may have with regard to the programme and the courses available.

Participants are encouraged to come along and register their interest in the programme – which is delivered free of charge – and to partake in what has already proven to be a wonderful learning experience nationwide. This project also allows the Kildare Library Service to reinforce their role in lifelong learning and education.
