Ballitore Library and Quaker Museum is located in the restored Mary Leadbeater House in the heart of Ballitore village (population of ca.1,000). It provides a public library service to Ballitore and its environs, and also a museum, celebrating the Quaker tradition in Ballitore. The museum houses a folk life collection, a Quaker costume collection, the Mary Leadbeater room, and an exhibition / meeting room. Primary resources include letters to Mary Leadbeater, “The Annals of Ballitore”, including accounts of the 1798 rebellion and “The Leadbeater Papers”.
