Where is Niles
Niles is a suburb of Chicago situated about 15 miles to the
north west of the city. It has a population of about 32,000
comprising people of French, Italian, Irish and Polish descent.
Although mainly residential it boasts 1,300 retail businesses
which contribute $12.8 million annually in sales tax receipts.
Niles too has a large young population and has 17 schools
within the town limits. It also boasts 18 parks, 3 recreational
centres, 2 swimming pools, 6 ball fields, 21 tennis courts,
an outdoor ice rink and a 9-hole golf course.
