Where is Bressuire

It is in the Deux - Sevres department in the Poitou - Charentes region midway between Nantes and Poitiers and about 60 miles east of the Atlantic coast. It has a population of about 13,000 in the town itself and a further 6,000 in the associated parishes. Like Leixlip, it has a large young population and has 6 pre-schools, 6 primary schools, 2 junior and 2 senior secondary schools. It is set in pleasant cattle - raising countryside and has some beautiful buildings dating from the 11th and 12th centuries.
