4. Tower of Allen, Hill of Allen, Allen

Access to the Hill of Allen Tower steeped in history and with commanding views of the surrounding areas. Just 10km from Newbridge and Kildare and 15km from Naas, this magnificent tower was built

6. Celbridge Lodge Period House Open to The Public

This period house will be open for public viewing. This house was built in the 1830's and its contents include a collection of paintings by Henry O' Neill. The house also stands in a little park.

7. Parkland Tours Castletown

The OPW guiding team will offer guided tours of the beautifully restored 18th century parklands and river walks. The tours will start from the visitor reception in the Stable Wing.

8. Historical Walking Tour of Kildare Town

This is a guided Tour of one of the oldest towns in Ireland. It takes in St Brigid's Cathedral, a Norman Castle and much more. Learn about St Brigid, Strongbow and the Earls of Kildare.

This exhibition showcases memorabilia from Maynooth volunteers who assembled from 1913 to 1914. This exhibition is available for viewing for the entirety of Heritage Week, during opening hours.
