Mary Birmingham

Hello,

I am researching my ggg grandmother's family history.

Mary Birmingham was convicted at York in 1852 for stealing. She was transported to Hobart Tasmania in 1853 for 7 years with thee of her children,Henry 3 ,James 6 and Peter 7 years old.

Mary gave her' native place' as Kildare Ireland .Her age is stated as 42.

Her death [ Melbourne 1887] certificate states her children's names were James, Peter, Henry, Sarah, Elizabeth, Alice ,Catherine ,Maria, I have no idea when all these children were born but considering her age ,it may have been in Great Britain, most likely.

I would be most gratefull if you can help in any way ,

Gordon Thomas [Geelong Australia.]
