Built Heritage and Structures at risk scheme

Kildare County Council, in conjunction with the Department of Culture, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht, are inviting applications for the Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2018 and Structures at Risk Scheme 2018.

 

Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2018

The scheme will support small scale conservation projects for buildings contained on the Record of Protected Structures and in Architectural Conservation Areas within County Kildare. The minimum level of funding awarded will be €2,500 up to a maximum of €15,000 per application.

 

Structures at Risk Fund 2018

Only structures or part structures in immediate danger of significant deterioration will qualify for consideration for funding by the Department. Works must be of a capital nature to qualify. The Department will consider four applications per local authority, one of which can be a publicly owned building. The minimum level of funding awarded will be €15,000 up to a maximum of €30,000 per application. A fifth application can be made if it relates to an Irish Historic House in private ownership.

 

Eligibility:        Structures must be included in the Record of Protected Structures or

Proposed Protected Structures or

Structures within  Architectural Conservation Areas, where exceptional circumstances are deemed by the Department to apply.

 

Applications for both schemes must be made directly to Conservation Section, Kildare County Council, at the address below by 4 p.m. on Wednesday 31 January 2018.
