Bike Week

National Bike Week, which takes place annually, returns this summer to Kildare from Saturday 9 June to Sunday 17 June 2018. There are a wide range of events taking place throughout the county. To find Kildare Bike Week events log onto .

Bike Week helps to promote the health, leisure and the fun in cycling.  It also helps to highlight the option of choosing cycling as a means to get to work, to do the school run or to do everyday tasks. Cycling is environmentally friendly, as it helps remove traffic from the roads and bikes have zero emissions.

Bike week caters for the family, as well as the cycling enthusiasts. There is something for all ages and ability, from fun cycles, events organised with schools, historic tours, art competitions, car free days, cinema screenings and electric bike shows. There should be something for everyone. Bike week is coordinated nationally by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport.
