Structures at Risk Fund 2018

Kildare County Council in conjunction with the Department of Culture, Heritage,  and  the Gaeltacht are inviting applications for the Structures at Risk Fund for 2018. This scheme will be administered by the Conservation Section of Kildare County Council.

Only structures or part structures in immediate danger of significant deterioration will qualify for consideration for funding by the Department. Works must be of a capital nature to qualify. Due to limited capital resources available for the operation of the SRF in 2018, the Department will consider only four applications per local authority, one of which can be a publicly owned building. The minimum level of funding awarded will be €15,000 up to a maximum of €30,000 per application. A fifth application can be made if it relates to an Irish Historic House in private ownership.


Eligibility;         Structures must be included in the Record of Protected Structures or Proposed Protected Structures orStructures within  Architectural Conservation Areas, where exceptional circumstances are deemed by the Department to apply.

Applications must be made directly to Conservation Section, Kildare County Council, Aras Chill Dara, Devoy Park,Naas,Co. Kildare by 4 p.m. on Wednesday 31st January 2018.
