Kildare County Council Amenity Grant Scheme
This new scheme proposes to give grants to community groups engaged in environmental type activities. Such activities may include: · Tree/shrub planting · hanging baskets/window boxes · installation of seats/picnic tables · name stones/welcome signs · purchase of gardening equipment etc. · creation of wildlife areas · heritage/restoration projects These activities must take place in public open spaces, not within housing estates. Grants will not be paid to residents associations as a scheme already exists for such purposes. Grants will not be paid to individuals.

Vodafone and Conservation Volunteers Ireland Nature Fund
The Vodafone and Conservation Volunteers Ireland Nature Fund was established in 2003, with the aim of encouraging the the appreciation and protection of Ireland's unique natural environment through the funding of locally based environmental projects and initiatives.

The Heritage Council Wildlife and Biodiversity Fund
The Heritage Council is an independent statutory body established under the Heritage Act, 1995. The Council’s function is to propose policies and priorities for the identification, protection, preservation and enhancement of the national heritage.

European Union LIFE+ Funding Program
The current LIFE III programme (Regulation (EC) 1655/2000 of 17.07.2000) and its extension (Regulation (EC) No 1682/2004 of 15.09.2004) finished at the end of 2006. The new Financial Instrument for the Environment, LIFE+, will provide future opportunities for funding. In this page, you will find the latest information about LIFE+.
