Kildare County Council's Emergency Control Centre, based at Central Fire Station, Newbridge operates 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

The Control Centre receives Emergency 999 Calls for Fire Brigades in Counties Kildare and Offaly. It is also the After Hours Emergency Contact for Local Authorities within county Kildare, Carlow, Offaly, Longford and Kilkenny, dealing with Roads, Water and Sanitary Service queries.
