Rural-Urban Dynamics in Kildare: Socioeconomic patterns and trends

This socio-economic profile of Co. Kildare was produced on behalf of Kildare County Development Board and was published in April 2006. The analysis in this report uses Census 2002 data as well as other data sources relevant to Co. Kildare and considers the social, economic, cultural trends reflected in Co. Kildare. This report provides a basis from which the work of the statutory and voluntary agencies in Kildare can be planned and provides a solid validation for focusing our work areas that experience disadvantage and on those who experience isolation and social exclusion. It also provides clear indicators of quality of life issues that affect citizens in Co. Kildare and highlights the needs and gaps that exist.
