Prizes were announced in this year's Pride of Place Competition at a ceremony in Tullow, CO. Carlow on 14th October. Representatives of the four communties from Kildare, as well as Mayor Fionnuala Dukes, Director of Services Tommy Skehan, Senior Community Worker Alice Corbett and Mary Foley Community & Enterprise were present. We didn't go home empty handed this year and were delighted that Leixlip and Bishopsland secured second place in their respective categories.
There were over 100 entries in this all-Ireland competition and it was a great achievement once again to be in the prizes! We were also pleased with the efforts of Athy and Rathangan who enjoyed the experience in spite of the lack of success.
