Temporary Roads Closure

ATHY TOWN COUNCIL - TEMPORARY ROADS CLOSURE
St. Patrick's Day- 17th March

NOTICE OF DECISION

The Council hereby gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the
Roads Act 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994, that it will close to
vehicular traffic:

(1)   The roads to the south and to the west of the Town Hall, including
the junction with the R417 Carlow Road and as far as Barrow Quay,

(2)   The road between Barrow Quay and Emily Square, and the Back
Square,

(3)  The road to the west of Emily Square including the junction with
Leinster Street, and the road to the south of Emily Square (at the front
of the Town Hall)including the junction with the R417 Carlow Road,

from 12:00hrs to 19:00hrs on Thursday, 17th March, 2011.

The closures are necessary in order to facilitate the holding of the
Athy St. Patrick’s Day parade and events and in the interest of public
safety. Emergency vehicle access will be accommodated.
