Section 55 of Planning and Development Act 2000 (As amended)
TAKE NOTICE that Athy Town Council as Planning Authority for its administrative area, in accordance with section 55 of the Planning and Development Act (as amended) proposes to add the following structures to its Record of Protected Structures:
- REF. NO. – AY 059 – NIAH REF. 11505229 – 6 Leinster Street, Athy (Building)
- REF. NO. – AY 071 – NIAH REF. 11505013 – Scoil Mhicil Naofa (Former) Mount Hawkins, Athy (Building)
Particulars of the proposed protected structures may be inspected at the offices of the Planning Authority, Athy Town Council at Rathstewart, Athy from 8th February, 2012 to 22nd March, 2012 inclusive during normal office hours, except bank holidays.
Any submissions or observations in respect of the proposed additions to the Record of Protected Structures may be made in writing to Mr. B. O’Gorman, Town Clerk, Athy Town Council, Rathstewart, Athy, Co. Kildare before 4.00 pm on 22nd March, 2012, and they will be taken into consideration before making a decision on the proposed additions.
The proposed additions were originally recommended by the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government following a survey of the Architectural Heritage of County Kildare by the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAH).
The Council will forward to the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht for his observations, a copy of any submissions or observations made on the proposed additions to the RPS during the above consultant period.
