Draft Athy Town Development Plan 2012-2018

Notice is hereby given, that Athy Town Council has, pursuant to Section 12 of the Planning & Development Acts, 2000-2010 as amended, prepared the Draft Athy Development Plan for the period 2012 to 2018.

 

The Draft Plan is accompanied by an Environmental Report, prepared in accordance with the Planning & Development [Strategic Environmental Assessment] Regulations 2004.

 

The Draft Plan and Environmental Report will be on display from Tuesday 29th March to Tuesday, 7th June, 2011 inclusive, Monday to Friday, at the following locations:

 

  • Athy Town Council, Rathstewart, Athy, Co. Kildare during normal opening hours (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm, and Tuesday, 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm);
  • Athy Community Library during their usual opening hours; and  
  • Kildare County Council (Planning Department) Aras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare during their usual opening hours and
  • Town Council website: www.athytowncouncil.ie

 

Public Information Day : 12th May, 2011

 

There will be a public information day where staff from the Council’s Planning Department will be available to answer questions in relation to the Draft Plan and to assist in making a submission.  The information day will take place from 2.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. (no appointment necessary) on Thursday, 12th May, 2011 at Athy Town Council Offices, Rathstewart, Athy.

 

Hard copies and CDs of the Draft Plan and associated reports are available to purchase from the Planning Department, Athy Town Council, Rathstewart, Athy during normal office hours.

 

Observations and submissions on the Draft Plan and/or Environmental Report may be made in one of the following ways:

All submissions should include your name and a contact address, a map (where appropriate) and, where relevant, details of any organisation, community group or company etc., which you represent.

YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO MAKE YOUR SUBMISSION AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 4.00pm TUESDAY, 7th JUNE, 2011. LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
