TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ROADS ACT 1993
NOTICE OF DECISION
The Council hereby gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994, that it will close to vehicular and/or pedestrian traffic:
(1) Meeting Lane from the junction with the R417 Carlow Road to Butlers Lane, and
(2) Garter Lane from the junction with the N78 Leinster St for a distance of approximately 60m north
from 08:00hrs on Wednesday 5th August 2009 to 16:00hrs on Saturday 8th August 2009
and
(3) The L-8082-0 Ballybough Lane
from 08:00hrs on Monday 11th August 2009 to 18:00hrs on Tuesday 12th August 2009.
The closures are necessary in order to facilitate road re-surfacing works and in the interest of public safety. Local and emergency vehicle access will be accommodated. Depending on weather conditions, every effort will be made to reduce the actual duration of closures where possible.
Alternative routes are as follows:-
(1) In the case of Meeting Lane:- via the R417 Carlow Road and/or N78 Leinster Street;
(2) In the case of Garter Lane:- via the R417 Stanhope Street and N78 Leinster Street;
(3) In the case of Ballybough Lane:- Road is a cul-de-sac, no alternative route, local traffic only will be accommodated.
