National Ploughing Championships 2009

The members and staff of Athy Town Council are delighted to welcome competitors and visitors to Athy for this year's National Ploughing Championships (22nd-24th September).

The Council hosted a Civic Reception on 14th September last to honour the National Ploughing Association and mark the milestone occasion of the return of the event to Athy.

While at the Championships, you are kindly invited to visit the Athy Town Promoters Stand (Athy Town Council, Chamber of Commerce, Shop Athy, Athy Tidy Towns and Athy Heritage Centre-Museum) at the trade exhibition area. (Stand T-725).

An exhibition commemorating Macra na Feirme is currently on display at the town's Heritage Centre-Museum (Emily Square). Please see the website for further details www.athyheritagecentre-museum.ie/
