Burst Watermain on Dublin Road, Athy (near Lidl) - 19th January, 2009

Repair work to a damaged watermain at above location is currently being carried out.

The N78 road will be closed from outside the Lidl entrance to the top of the railway bridge. Outbound traffic on the N78 will divert at the mini roundabout to the opposite side of the road and on over the railway bridge where it will revert back into the proper lane. As a consequence, a stop/go system is being put in place.

This is emergency work and cannot be avoided. The repair work will continue into this evening until the problem is rectified.
