Athy Traffic Management Plan
Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposal for a Traffic Management Plan for Athy. This traffic management plan focuses on the following transport issues in the town centre area, as illustrated on the drawings and documentation available for inspection at the locations specified below:
- Traffic Flow Management
- Pedestrians, Cyclists and People with disabilities,
- Car Parking,
- HGV Management,
- Access to the Rail Station,
- Access to the proposed road network,
- Access to schools
- Bus Services
Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during normal opening hours from Friday, the 11th December, 2009 until Friday, the 5th February, 2010 at the following locations:
Kildare County Council Transportation Department:

Devoy Park,
Naas.
Co. Kildare.
Athy Town Council:
Rathstewart,
Athy,
Co. Kildare
Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will also be available to view on Kildare County Council’s website at www.kildare.ie/countycouncil
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the proposed development would be situated may be made in writing to:

Co. Kildare.
on or before 12.00 noon Friday, the 19th February, 2010.
Submissions should be headed;
“Athy Traffic Management Plan”.
All comments, including names and addresses of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this scheme will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Kildare County Council and Athy Town Council. Accordingly they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
