Assessment of Planning Applications
Athy Town Council receives approximately 60 planning applications every year. It is obliged to consider the proper planning and development of the area and to take account of the provisions of the development plan in assessing applications.
Planning Application Forms are available to download here...
All planning applications are recorded in the planning register which is open to the public for inspection. Appeals against planning decisions taken by the Council are submitted to The Secretary, An Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1. Only persons or bodies who have made submissions or observation on a planning application, and paid the prescribed fee to a planning authority can appeal a planning decision.
