Alison Maxwell lives near Maynooth and is a graduate of UCD's MA in Creative
Writing.
Her book, 'Jammet's ‑ the only French restaurant in Dublin', due out in October, is a feast of food, wine, anecdote, romance, elegance and excellence ‑ a unique slice of Dublin life from 1900 to 1967 below and above those treadworn stairs.
Published in *The Cork Literary Review*, *Poetry Ireland*,* Galloping On*, *The
Book of Maynooth* and *Under Brigid's Cloak*, her work was translated into Russian for *New
Generation*.
She featured in Poetry Ireland’s *Introductions Series* and was a finalist
in the BBC's
Tony Doyle New Writers’ Bursary Award. Alison is a member of The Stephen’s
Green Workshop, Dublin and The Gateway Group, Maynooth.
