Eoghan Doyle

 

Eoghan Doyle graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2001, with an advanced Diploma in Speech and Drama studies. After graduating Eoghan worked as a freelance drama facilitator, working with many different companies/organisations throughout Ireland.

Eoghan was artistic director of Clondalkin Youth Theatre from October 2002 January 2008, devising and delivering the artistic plan on a yearly basis. Also an established director, Eoghan has worked on many productions with Clondalkin Youth Theatre including the world premiere of “Treble” by Christian O’Reilly in association with the Outreach/Education Department of The Abbey Theatre. His other directing works include “The Tempest” by William Shakespeare and “Her Big Chance” by Alan Bennett.

From November 2005 – July 2007 Eoghan worked as youth theatre resident in Wicklow County Arts Office. The remit of the position was to encourage the development of youth theatre throughout County Wicklow.

In his role as Assistant County Arts Officer, Eoghan manages the Youth Arts Programme, the Platform4 recording project in Leixlip Library and the annual Oxegen Battle of the Bands Competition. In 2009 Eoghan wrote “Kildare County Council’s Youth Arts Strategy 2009 – 2011” the first of its kind in the County.
