We were represented at National Council (20th and 21st March) by Paul and three of our Scouts (Fiona, Isabel and Noel).  Main event was the launch of the ONEPROGRAMME of which we will all hear more in coming weeks.  Other aspects of Council were

• Official opening and address by an Taoiseach Brian Cowen, who recalled his own days as a cub and scout in Clara.\
• The highest award in Scouting Ireland - the Order of Cuachulann - was awarded to seven members.  Included in this number was Bernie
• Appointment (un-opposed) of our new South East Provincial Commsissioner John Watmore - congratulations John.
• Francis Minogue, uutgoing South East Provincial Commisioner was elected as National Treasurer.
• The New Website to support ONE PROGRAMME was launched http://oneprogramme.scouts.ie/
• A variety of motions were debated and voted upon, changing some of the rules of Scouting Ireland
