We maintain a waiting list for new members as we always have more applicants than places available.  Places are offered according to the following priority

  • Children of Leaders
  • Siblings of existing members
  • Date of application

We also attempt to maintain a gender balance within each section and of course........we must ensure that numbers stay within recomended ratios of leaders to youth members. Only children and young people who hve reached the required age for the relevant section will be offered a place - we use 31st August as our cut-off date each year.

We welcome applications from children and young people with special needs, but the offer of places may be dependant on leader capacity to provide a safe and constructive environment for all members. Parental support is valued and welcomed.
