Our Group Flag
Our group flag includes a number of elements that connect to our local community. The Blackbird is symbolises our connection to St Kevin’s GAA Club – the blackbird featuring in a story where such a bird built a nest and hatching eggs in St Kevin’s hand while he stood praying for forty days and nights. The bog cotton symbolises the vast expanses of turf bog that is such a feature of our community. The main element is our red and black neckerchief, which is is based on the colours of St Kevin’s GAA club.
